I am absolutely thrilled and still a little overwhelmed to share some truly extraordinary news. I recently received a message that began with the words:
“It is with very great pleasure that I write to inform you that the Council would like to offer you full membership of the Society (SWA).”
Seeing those words felt surreal. After a four-year journey filled with hard work, growth, learning, and unforgettable experiences, becoming a full member of the Society of Women Artists is an honour beyond anything I imagined when I first began exhibiting with them.
I feel incredibly proud — and yes, a little nervous too. With this recognition comes a sense of responsibility: to contribute, to support, and to uphold the values of a society with such a rich history and extraordinary community of artists. My hope is that I can bring something meaningful, remain dedicated, and be a member worthy of the trust the Council has placed in me.
The SWA has played a profound role in my artistic development. Exhibiting alongside so many talented women, meeting inspiring artists, and being part of such a vibrant creative community has been transformative. To now step into full membership feels like both a culmination and a new beginning.
I am deeply grateful to the Council, to my fellow artists, and to everyone who has supported my work along the way. This achievement is a milestone I will carry with great joy and humility.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being part of this journey. I cannot wait to see what comes next!
