I am delighted to share that my sculpture ‘Long Walk to Where the Road Meets the Sea’ has been longlisted for the 2026 Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize – Sculpture Award.

This is a wonderful achievement and a particularly exciting opportunity to have my work considered alongside artists from around the world. My sculpture has now progressed to the next stage of judging, where members of the international jury will vote to determine the finalists.

The Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize celebrates contemporary representational art across a range of disciplines, providing a platform for artists working in painting, sculpture, drawing, photography and digital art.

About the sculpture

‘Long Walk to Where the Road Meets the Sea’ is a figurative sculpture created using air-drying Creative Paperclay. Like much of my work, it explores ideas of journey, uncertainty, resilience and the passage of life.

The title reflects the feeling of moving forward without always knowing exactly where the road will lead. The sea becomes a symbol of the unknown; something distant yet constantly drawing us onwards.

Being longlisted gives me another opportunity to share this work with a wider international audience, and I am grateful to the Beautiful Bizarre team for recognising my sculpture and including it in the 2026 Sculpture Award.

The finalists will be announced from 26 August 2026, so I will be eagerly awaiting the next stage of the competition.

My sincere thanks to Beautiful Bizarre Magazine and everyone who continues to follow, support and encourage my artistic journey.

Whatever the final outcome, I am grateful for the opportunity to have Long Walk to Where the Road Meets the Sea considered as part of this year's Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize.
