I am delighted to share that my work and artistic practice have been featured in the official catalogue for the 165th Annual Exhibition of the Society of Women Artists at the Mall Galleries, London.

Being included in the exhibition is an honour in itself, but to have my work accompanied by a dedicated artist profile in the catalogue makes this year's exhibition especially meaningful.

The article introduces my artistic journey—from growing up in Russia, where folklore, symbolism and cultural heritage first shaped my imagination, to establishing my practice in the UK. It explores how my sculptures merge sculpture, painting and relief, creating quietly narrative figures that invite viewers to pause and discover their own interpretations.

The feature also highlights recurring themes within my work, including mystery, memory, resilience and human connection. Rather than providing fixed answers, my sculptures use symbolism and subtle storytelling to encourage reflection. Figures carrying keys, birds, bells or trees become metaphors for hope, protection, transformation and the unseen connections that shape our lives.

The article also discusses my process of building each sculpture by hand over a wire armature, layering texture before finishing the surface with acrylic and oil paints. This combination allows me to blur the boundaries between sculpture and painting, creating tactile works that reveal themselves gradually.

It is a privilege to be included in a catalogue that documents the work of so many talented artists exhibiting at this historic annual exhibition.

My sincere thanks to the Society of Women Artists for this wonderful opportunity, and to everyone who has supported my artistic journey. Moments like these remind me how far this path has taken me, and inspire me to continue exploring stories through sculpture.
